Is a D passing at Tamu? ›

The lowest passing grade is a "D." Students should consider that some universities and colleges do not accept a "D" in transfer. If a course is taken at A&M-Central Texas and repeated at this institution, only the best grade in the course is counted in computing the GPA.

Repetition of a Course to Improve Grade

Credit for a course failed may be obtained only by registering for and repeating the course. The original grade will remain on the student's permanent record, and both grades will be used in computing the GPA.
